Eventful October!

by angeliska on October 10, 2008

There’s a chill in the air at night,
an urgency in the days passing,
flap-flap-flap pages turning
rapidly, go-go-go..
There is so much happening
this month already,
it’s crazy.
Friday, October 10th:

Treasure City Thrift is having their 2nd annual
Recycled Fashion Show!
I will be modeling for Annie Alonzi,
who is extremely wonderful.
She has made the loveliest
dress for me to wear- I can’t wait!
After the show, there will be much
music and merry-making at the afterparty-
but we will probably hop on over to the
Rhizome Collective for WinoVino’s
Seedy Release Party, to celebrate
their new album with naked dancing ladies,
cuban drummers and roasted lamb!
Monday, October 13th:

KAL is playing at the Cactus Cafe
at 8pm – do not miss this show!
These guys are Roma from Belgrade,
bad-ass musicians and cultural activists..
Wednesday, October 15th:

I will be playing with Hello Lovers,
opening for the inimitable Baby Dee!
Also on the bill, Precious Blood
featuring two of my favorite folks,
Ralph White + Amy Annelle
I love this article Mer wrote for Coilhouse:
Baby Dee: The Song of Self Acceptance
Saturday + Sunday, October 18-19th:

I will be performing as Angeliska + Arpadelamar at Maker Faire.
Colin and his blacksmith cohorts are going to be setting up
a Blacksmith Village out there, as well as countless other
interesting and entertaining artists, musicians and inventors.
Not to mention everything we’ve got planned
for Halloween, but more on that posthaste!
